Mrs. Ben Buskohl Dies Here Monday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ben Buskohl, 76, will be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church at Holland. The Rev. Gene Straatmeyer will be in charge.

Mrs. Buskohl passed away at 8:15 a.m. on Monday at the Countryside Nursing Home in Grundy Center.

She was born on July 4, 1892 in the Grundy County township of Colfax. She was the daughter of Jacob Franken and Annie Alberts who are deceased. She was married on February 15, 1915, to Ben Buskohl who preceded her in death on October 2, 1962.

She attended school in Grundy county. She and her husband were retired farmers; while being long time members of the Colfax Presbyterian Church.

Surviving children include Mrs. Harvey Getting (Gertie) of rural Grundy Center and Jake Buskohl of rural Grundy Center. Grandchildren include Ben Buskohl, Jean Buskohl and Mark Buskohl. A step-granddaughter is Elaine Hohnbaum.

The Ferree-Abbas funeral home will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the Colfax Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Herman Groote, Bernard and Harvey Buskohl, Kenneth Heerts, Floyd Luiken and Leon Moeller. Mrs. Hiriam Dieken will be organist and soloist is to be James Kruse who will sing "I Won't Have To Cross Jordan Alone" and "Take Up Thy Cross and Follow Me."

Flower attendants will be Mrs. Siebo Jansen, Mrs. Cleo Jarrard and Mrs. Ralph Moore. Car drivers are: Herman Bakker, Bud Henze, Dale Fink, Bob Stephenson, Floyd Rouse and Harry Kruse.
