Funeral Saturday At Colfax For Mrs. Rademaker
Funeral services were held for Janet Rademaker on Saturday afternoon, August 2, 1975 at 1:30 p.m. at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church. Rev. Wiert Eekhoff was clergyman. Miss Shari Smit was soloist. Organist was Mrs. Raymond Hinders. Flower attendants were Mrs. Arnold Arends and Mrs. Josephine Finke.
The pallbearers were Michael Maas, Leslie Smit, T. M. Heronimus, Bernard A. Engelkes, Rev. Glenn Dieken, and Harold Rademaker. Interment was in the Colfax Center Presbyterian Cemetery. Doyen Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Janet Rademaker was taken from this life very suddenly early Wednesday morning, July 30, 1975 at her home in Wellsburg due to an apparent heart attack. She reached the age of 68 years, 7 months and 22 days.
She was born Janet Marie Maas, on October 8, 1906, on a farm in Colfax Township, rural Holland, the daughter of John and Rena (Meyer) Maas. She attended the rural school in the area. On October 16, 1935, she was united in marriage to Joe Rademaker at Organ, Illinois. Following their marriage they lived in Wellsburg and later moved to Grundy Center. They lived on several farms in Colfax township until her husband passed away in January of 1963. She later moved to Wellsburg to make her home.
Mrs. Rademaker was a long time member of the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church.
Preceding her in death were: her parents; her husband; 2 sisters: (Florence), Mrs. Henry Smit; (Elizabeth), Mrs. Jerry Molendorp and one brother in infancy.
Those left to mourn her passing are: 1 sister and 1 brother: Mrs. Tom (Helen) Heronimus, Holland; Johnnie Maas of Cedar Falls, several nieces and nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
