Mrs. Marvin Tack Funeral Monday

Mrs. Marvin Tack of Holland died at the Allen Memorial hospital in Waterloo at 12 noon April 1, 1976 at the age of 56 years, 6 months and 8 days. She was hospitalized four days, and death was from an apparent stroke.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 5 at 1:30 in the Colfax Center Presbyterian church. Rev. Jerry VanCurler officiated, assisted by Rev. Wiert Eekhoff. Mrs. Tom Simms sang "How Great Thou Art" and "The Old Rugged Cross". Mrs. Raymond Hinders was accompanist. Casket bearers were Eldon L. Harms, Alvin Lutterman, Roger Heikens, Arlen Kruger, Donavon Bakker and Lloyd Hager. Ushers were John Paterni, Milf Meyer and Harry Ascher. Mrs. Joseph Junker and Mrs. Dwayne Sents were in charge of the flowers. Interment was in the Colfax Center Church cemetery. Clarence Kruse provided a car for the family. Relatives and friends returned to the church following the committal service for fellowship and lunch. Mrs. Tack was a member of the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church. A memorial fund has been established.

Genevieve Tack was born October 23, 1919 in Wellsburg, Iowa, the daughter of Jurgen and Louise Getting Lutterman. She was married to Marvin Tack on January 20, 1940 at the Little Brown Church at Nashua. After their marriage they farmed in Colfax township and in 1946 moved to their present farm home in Colfax.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin; her father-in-law, Philip Tack; two sons, Robert of Holland, William of DeWitt; one daughter, Mrs. Allen (Carol) Schroeder of Waverly; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one infant brother.

Arrangements were in charge of the Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home.
