Siebo John Jansen, 69, of Grundy Center, passed away November 21 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services were November 24 at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. Pastor Larry Hoop officiated. A memorial fund has been established.

Siebo was born on March 21, 1932 in Aplington, the son of Fred and Anna (Reints) Jansen. He enlisted into the United States Army on January 9, 1953 and he was discharged on January 8, 1955. He was united in marriage to Lila McAllister. They later divorced. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Tjepkes on November 21, 1961. He worked in Parkersburg for the railroad. He later worked for Lee Schulte Shell Station and later Rouse Motors, both in Grundy Center. He was a member of the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church in Holland.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Phyllis of Grundy Center; a daughter, Marvel Ann and her husband Steve Axmear of North English; three grandchildren; and a sister, Carol Ann and her husband Leland Huisman of Parkersburg.
