Jacob W. Knock, son of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Knock died at his home Sunday night. He was sick but six days with appendicitis. Funeral services are being held today. The services are conducted by Rev. Landsiedel at the Reformed church at Wellsburg.

The deceased was the youngest son and the baby of the Knock family. He was the only one of the children remaining at home. His sudden death leaves a vacant place in the family that will remain for all time. He was not only beloved and worshiped by his immediate family, but he had the respect, the confidence and the good will of all others who knew him. The family in their great bereavement have the assurance of the undivided sympathy of all who know them.

Jake was born in this county and he always lived here. He would have been seventeen years old on his next birthday. Aside from his father and mother he is survived by one brother, Eilert, one sister, Mrs. Claas Neessen and another, sister, Mrs. Gus Fritzel.
