Conrad Brinkman Dies After Short Sickness

Conrad Brinkman died at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Herman Snittjer Saturday afternoon following a sickness of less than a week with pneumonia.

Funeral services were held at the church in Wellsburg Tuesday afternoon at 1:30. Interment was made in the cemetery here.

The deceased was forty-six years old. He came to Wellsburg from the old country nearly twenty-five years ago and most of the time since was spent in and around Wellsburg. Conrad was a good conscientious worker. He paid his debts, attended to the business he had in hand, he hated no one, he never knowingly did any one any harm. He was better to others than he was to himself.

Conrad was only a boy when he came to this country. He came alone. His father and mother with a number of brothers and sisters are still living in the old country. His parents are both in the nineties and within the past year they celebrated their diamond wedding anniversary, an event that not one married couple in a half million live long enough to enjoy.

Conrad's friends in Wellsburg made up a purse and secured for him a fine collection of flowers for his funeral.
