Sander Assing died at his home in Wellsburg Sunday forenoon. He had been sick for some time with Bright's Disease. Mr. Assing had been in the restaurant business here for a good many years and was well liked by all who knew him. He was born January 11th, 1853 in Germany and he came to America about 25 years ago and settled in Wellsburg. He made his home in this city until the time of his death. He leaves to mourn his death his wife, four children, one sister and two brothers. Funeral services were held at the church here yesterday afternoon after which interment was made. Those from out of town who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Otto Folkerts from Bristow, A. Brewer and wife from Alden, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Voss from Aplington, Minno, Sweeter and Henry, Adda and Lena Voss from Aplington, Mrs. Alberts from Alden and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Carsens from Parkersburg.
