Dies At Iowa City
Miss Cora Ruter died in a hospital at Iowa City last Friday night. Pneumonia is given as the cause of her death. Deceased was taken to Iowa city from the county poor farm a little over two weeks ago. She was taken there for a course of treatment and she contracted pneumonia while she was there. The remains were sent to Wellsburg and they reached here Sunday morning. They were taken to the Doyen undertaking rooms where they remained until Monday afternoon when they were buried in the cemetery here.
Funeral services conducted by Rev. Theilken were held in the church here in the afternoon.
The deceased was forty-eight years old. She with her mother made their home in Wellsburg for a number of years up to about a month ago when they were taken to the county farm. The only surviving relatives are the mother, a sister, who lives in Minnesota, and O. Haupt, who is a brother-in-law.
