Eite (Ed) H. Meyer passed away at the Ellsworth Memorial hospital in Iowa Falls, Iowa on June 5, 1962 at about 7:45 p.m. He was taken to the hospital from the Long Nursing Home on June 1, where he had entered on October of 1961.

Mr. Meyer was born on March 14, 1886 of Mr. and Mrs. Harm S. Meyer in Shiloh township of Grundy county thus reaching the age of 76 years, 2 months and 22 days.

Mr. Meyer lived in Wellsburg all of his life. He worked as a painter. He was kind and was loved by all who knew him.

Funeral services were held in the Doyen Funeral Home on June 9th at 1:30 p.m. and later, about 2:00 p.m. in the Wellsburg Reformed church of Wellsburg, with Rev. George C. Poppen officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Those who preceded him in death were his parents, two brothers, Wiebe, and George of Wellsbrug, one sister Gertie, Mrs. Gus Siefken of Bristow, and one brother in infancy.

He leaves to mourn, three brothers, Siebe of Steamboat Rock, Harm and Lubert of Wellsburg, one sister, Anna, Mrs. Fred Getting of Holland.

Music at the service was by Mrs. George C. Poppen. Mrs. Harold Lindaman was accompanist. The casket bearers were Clarence Meyer, Odie W. Meyer, Virgil W. Getting, Glenn Siefken, Larry Meyer, and Boyd K. Meyer.
