Mrs. Eva Heddens Dies Saturday At Wellsburg Home
Mrs. C. H. Heddens passed away at 4:30 a.m. Saturday at her home in Wellsburg.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Doyen Funeral Home. Rev. Bernard Visscher was officiating clergyman.
Pall bearers were Lewis Ackerman, L. J. Groninga, Tielko H. Bunger, Herman Sietsema, Harold O. Fischer and Jake G. Lindaman. Interment was made in the Reformed Church cemetery.
She was born Evelyn Susan Eells to Mr. and Mrs. Charles J. Eells on December 21, 1882, at Burlington. She reached the age of 82 years, three months, and six days.
Mrs. Heddens received her education in the public schools at Burlington. On September 4, 1901, she was united in marriage to Dr. Claus H. Heddens. This union was blessed with one daughter and three sons. They made their home in Wellsburg following their marriage. Her husband passed away in 1930. Mrs. Heddens was a long time member of the Second Christian Reformed church in Wellsburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Oden and Harry Eells.
Those left to mourn her passing are John W. Heddens of Glen Ellyn, Illinois; Gladys, Mrs. Stuart Ashby of Chicago, Ill.; Dr. Harry D. Heddens of Wellsburg; Claude C. Heddens of Mediapolis; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
