Former Wellsburg Resident Dies At Janesville Past Wk.

LeRoy Jaspers, 48, of Janesville, died on Wednesday morning, December 28 of heart attack at his home. He had recently been confined to the Mercy hospital at Waverly.

He was born at Wellsburg, Iowa on Feb. 12, 1918, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harm Jaspers. He was married to the former Margaret Buchanan on February 10, 1951, and had lived in the Janesville community for the past six years where he was a painter.

Survivors include his widow, two sons, Mike of Cedar Falls and Bill at home; two daughters, Sarah and Barbara, both at home; one brother, Jake of Wellsburg; and one sister, Lillian, Mrs. James Nieman of Shell Rock.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, December 31, at 1 p.m. at the Methodist Church in Janesville. Rev. Warren Conner officiated at the services. Interment was made in the Reformed Church cemetery at Wellsburg.
