Mrs. Chas. Claus Committal Service At Wellsburg

Mrs. Charles H. (Anna) Claus, 79, died Tuesday morning at a hospital in Peoria, Ill. Visitation will be Friday afternoon at the Doyen Funeral Home in Wellsburg from 2 to 3 o'clock with a committal service at 4 p.m. in the Wellsburg Reformed Church cemetery.

Mrs. Claus is survived by her husband Charles, one son, Frederick Claus of Modesto, Calif., one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Cox of Glasford, Ill., one brother, Leonard Schmidt of Wellsburg, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Rites For Anna Claus Here On Friday

Mrs. Charles H. (Anna) Claus, 79, of 1905 North Linn St., Peoria, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, October 3. Graveside services were held on Friday at 4:00 p.m. at the Wellsburg Reformed Church cemetery. Rev. Gideon Wolbrink officiated.

Mrs. Claus was born on October 9, 1898 in Wellsburg and was the daughter of Carl J. and Lena Snittjer Schmidt. She was married to Charles H. Claus in Peoria, Illnois on March 30, 1918. Mrs. Claus was affiliated with the Community Reformed Church of Peoria.

Those who survive the deceased are the husband, also one son, Frederick of Modesto, California and a daughter, Mrs. Robert (Evelyn) Cox of Glasford, Illinois, eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Leonard Schmidt of Wellsburg.

Preceding Mrs. Claus in death were the parents, also three brothers: John, Fred and George
