Funeral Services Held For Mrs. Grace Wulf

Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Wulf were held on Friday afternoon, August 3, 1979, at 1:30 p.m. at the Wellsburg Reformed Church. Rev. Gideon Wolbrink was officiating clergyman. Mrs. W.D. Murray was soloist. Miss Marcella Neessen was organist. Flower attendants were Mrs. James deNeui and Mrs. Aeilt Terfehn. Pallbearers were Ronald Rieken, Lary Riebkes, Wallace Heitland, Woodrow Homan, Benjamin Janssen, and Donald Janssen. Interment was made in the Wellsburg Reformed Church cemetery. The Doyen Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Grace Wulf passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 31, 1979 at the Long Term Care Unit of the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center following a lingering illness. She had been confined to the Care Unit since July 11th. She reached the age of 85 years and 3 days.

She was born on a farm in German Township, northwest of Wellsburg, on July 28, 1894, the daughter of John and Dena (Christians) Riebkes, and attended the rural school in the area. On October 3, 1939, she was united in marriage to Louie Wulf at Wellsburg. They made their home in Wellsburg following their marriage. Mr. Wulf passed away on December 26, 1963.

Mrs. Wulf was a member of the Wellsburg Reformed Church having joined by transfer of membership on September 7, 1933, and was a long time member of the Ladies Guild of the church.

Preceding her in death were: her parents, her husband, Louie Wulf, a step-son, Marlyn Wulf, who passed away on August 5, 1975. Also two brothers, Riebke Riebkes in infancy and John J. Riebkes; 4 sisters, Jennie Heitland, Mattie Getting, Hannah Miller and Fanna Janssen.

Those left to mourn her passing are: 3 sisters and 1 brother, Tena Riebkes of Wellsburg; (Susie), Mrs. Andrew Miller of Ackley; Mrs. Gesina Nederhoff of Wellsburg; Raymond Riebkes of Wellsburg; 1 step-granddaughter; 3 step-great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
