Services held For Tyle Huisman

Tyle Huisman, 85, of Wellsburg passed away on Sunday, April 21, 1996, at the Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo of natural causes.

Tyle was born on April 3, 1911, the son of Tyle and Ettje (Kruger) Huisman in Wellsburg, Iowa. He was united in marriage with Winifred Niven on September 1, 1940, in Ely, Iowa.

Tyle attended the Wellsburg Reformed Church, enjoyed fishing, gardening, and working in his yard. He was a plaster and brick layer mason in the Wellsburg area for a number of years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Truman, Bryan, and Andrew; and two sisters, Elizabeth Dimke and Dena Huisman.

Survivors include his wife, Winnie of Wellsburg; one son Keith, and his wife, Ruth, of Springdale, Arkansas; one brother, Harm and his wife, Rena, of Buffalo Center; one sister Esther Van Deest and husband, Bill, of Grundy Center and three grandchildren, Mike Huisman of Kansas City, Kansas, Dorene Lawson and husband, Mark, of Springdale, Arkansas and Darren Huisman and his wife, Annie, of Plainview, Minnesota.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, April 23, 1996, at 1:30 p.m. at the Wellsburg Reformed Church with burial in the church cemetery both in Wellsburg. Pastor Verlyn Boone officiated.

Pallbearers were Mike Huisman, Darren Huisman, Mark Lawson, Ted Van Deest, Don Woodley and Duane Huisman. Honorary pallbearer was Ray Sprenger.

The Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg was in charge of the professional arrangements.
