Wilbur J. Knock, 83, of Grundy Center, passed away January 29 at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center.

Funeral services were February 1 at the Holland Christian Reformed Church. Burial followed in the Wellsburg Reformed Church Cemetery in Wellsburg. A memorial fund has been established.

Wilbur was born on June 28, 1918, in Wellsburg, the son of Eilert and Tena (Kruse) Knock. On September 4, 1940 he was united in marriage to Adele Ruter in Wellsburg. After marriage the couple farmed in the Wellsburg area for many years. Adele passed away on May 15, 1988. On June 23, 1989 he was united in marriage to Reka Hook at the Pleasant Valley Reformed Church in rural Holland. They resided in Grundy Center. Wilbur was a member of the Holland Christian Reformed Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife Adele; and second wife Reka.

Survivors include his son, Allen and his wife Penny Knock of Waterloo; daughter, Jane Bos of Council Bluffs; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Annette and her husband Harold Okones of Wellsburg and Irene Ruter of Wellsburg.
