Mrs. M. Molendorp Funeral Saturday At W'burg Church

Funeral services for Mrs. Meintdena Molendorp, 81, lifelong area resident, were held at 1:15 p.m. Saturday at the Doyen Funeral Home and at 1:30 p.m. at the Second Christian Ref. church.

Rev. Bernard Visscher, pastor of the First Christian Ref. church, officiated the service. Burial was in the Shiloh cemetery.

Special music for the service as provided by vocalists Mrs. Harold Okones and Mrs. Henry Vanderzyden. Mrs. Wilbur Knock was organist.

Casketbearers were Jerry Peters, Jake Peters, Harm Peters, Jerry Huisman, William Huisman and Dick D. Huisman.

Serving as flower attendants were Mrs. James DeNeui and Mrs. Louie Wulf.

Mrs. Meintdena Molendorp, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jurgen Huisman, was born in German township March 7, 1883.

She attended the rural school.

On March 6, 1907, she was married to Helmer Molendorp at the St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Ackley by Rev. R. Kuehne.

The first year of their marriage they lived southeast of Parkersburg and later on several farms in German and Shiloh townships.

During her marriage she was a member and attendant of St. Peter's United Church of Christ and later she became a member of the Second Christian Reformed church of Wellsburg, where she lived the last several years of her life. Her husband passed away on Oct. 19, 1947.

In the early part of June 1964 she entered the Countryside Nursing Home at Grundy Center where she remained until the time of her death. She passed away at 11:30 a.m. February 17 at the age of 81 years, 11 months and 10 days.

Those who preceded her in death were her husband, two sisters and one brother.

Those who survive and mourn her passing are two sons, Conrad and Jerry Molendorp, both of Wellsburg, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren as well as many other relatives and friends.
