Tillie Miller Services Held

Mrs. Tillie Miller passed away Wednesday, February 29 at the Ellsworth Community Hospital.

Funeral services were held at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Wellsburg, on Saturday, March 3 at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Ronald Fisher officiated.

Mrs. Wilbert Ubben was organist and Mrs. Ronald Fisher and Mrs. Brent Fisher were vocalists.

Pallbearers were Greg Stubbe, Lee Ambrose, Joe Krull, Vernon Harms, Scott Freese and Richard Newby. LeRoy Kruse and Henry Feikes were ushers.

Interment was in Shiloh Cemetery, Wellsburg. Friends and relatives were invited to return to the church for an hour of fellowship following the committal services.

Mrs. Miller was born the daughter of Wolbert and Johanna Lindaman Boelman on February 14, 1900 at rural Wellsburg. Her childhood years were spent in this area and she received her education in the rural schools.

On February 3, 1924 she was united in marriage to Henry Krull. Their way of life was farming and two children were born to this union, John Krull of Wellsburg and JoAnn (Mrs. Ben) Schipper of Ackley.

On April 17, 1942 Mr. Krull passed away and five years later, on January 14, 1947, she was married to Johannes Miller. In this marriage there was one step-daughter, Edna, Mrs. Dagan Krull of Wellsburg.

On March 24, 1980, Mr. Miller passed away and shortly after that Mrs. Miller began to make her home in the nursing homes of the community. At the time of her death she was a resident of the nursing home at Dumont, IA.

Tillie is survived by her children, John and JoAnn and step-daughter Edna; 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; also three sisters, Hanna, Mrs. Henry Finger; Fannie, Mrs. Lester Williams; Bertha, Mrs. Melvin Meints, all of Ackley; two brothers, Arnold of Morrison and Bill of Marshalltown.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Minnie, Anna and Janet, one brother, George, and one brother in infancy, Wolbert.
