Infant Child of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Hoekstra Dies

David, two months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Hoekstra, died at the Eldora hospital Saturday afternoon. He was taken sick on Friday.

Little David always seemed to be faring quite well. He was gaining in weight and from all appearances he had the hopes of becoming what anyone could desire of him in physical life. However, he had an affliction known commonly as hernia, but this does not always prove to be critical as far as physical development is concerned. But rather suddenly, last Friday he became very ill and was taken to the hospital at Eldora. An operation was performed early Saturday morning for strangulated hernia. This proved to be of no avail.

Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon and later at the Reformed church in Wellsburg with Rev. Edward Jurgens officiating. Burial was in the Shiloh cemetery.

Surviving are the parents, one brother, Allen Wendell, 3 years old, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hoekstra, and Mr. and Mrs. Ernest French of Grundy Center.
