Obituary
Earl Herbert Eygabroad was born Dec. 19, 1891, at Allison, son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Eygabroad. The family later moved to Wellsburg where he was educated in the local public schools. On Feb. 19, 1917, he married Margaret Koch at Grundy Center. The couple farmed a short time east of Wellsburg before Earl became a barber here.
At the time of his death Mr. Eygabroad was actively engaged in his chosen profession, barbering. Only recently he had taken a younger man, Harley Janssen, into the business, which had permitted him to slow down a bit.
About a week ago he complained of not feeling well. His first attack occurred late last Thursday evening. He had been a patient at the hospital four days prior to his death.
Mr. Eygabroad is survived by his wife and three children: Mrs. Harold (Lillie) Weichers of Wellsburg; Anneus and Earl Jr., both of Marshalltown; 15 grandchildren; one brother, Joseph, of Wellsburg, and four sisters, Mrs. Frank Lutz, Wellsburg, Mrs. Katie Garl, Mason City, Mrs. Ida Lowe of Trenton, Mo., and Mrs. Mamie Cole of St. Joseph, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and three brothers.
