Funeral For Lee B. Primus Is Held Here

Lee B. Primus, 71, was born at his parent's home on a farm west and south of Wellsburg on November 3, 1909, the son of Berend and Helen (Siemens) Primus and died in Minneapolis, Minnesota, June 1, having reached the age of 71 years, 6 months and 28 days.

Funeral services were conducted June 4, at the Westminister Presbyterian Church Chapel in Minneapolis with Rev. Donald M. Meisel in charge, and at the First Christian Reformed Church, Wellsburg, Iowa, on June 5 with burial in the church cemetery. Rev. Leslie Kuiper was officiating minister, Elizabeth Eekhoff, organist and Alfred Eiten the vocal soloist.

Pallbearers at the Friday service were all nephews; Claus Primus, Paul Primus, Benjamin Primus, Herman Primus, David Primus and Robert John Primus.

During W.W. II, Lee served his country in the U.S. Navy. He had practiced law in Minneapolis for more than 30 years.

He is survived by his wife Maude H. Primus; two sons, Richard Lee Primus and Brent William Primus of Minneapolis; as well as two brothers, William of the Ackley Presbyterian Home and George of Wellsburg; and one sister, Mrs. Lily Mae Minium of Grand Junction.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly Helen Primus, his parents, and four brothers, Henry, Claus, John and Marion. One brother-in-law, Howard Minium, and one half sister, Anna Primus.
