Herman Bakker Dies At Hospital From Pneumonia

Herman Bakker, the 19-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. John Bakker, living five miles southwest of Wellsburg, died at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown at six o'clock Monday morning from pneumonia. The young man was taken sick Tuesday of last week. His condition became gradually worse. On Sunday he was removed from his home to the hospital. Specialists there were unable to give any relief.

Funeral services were held at the home on Wednesday afternoon at the home and later at the First Christian Reformed church with the local pastor, Rev. Louis Voskuil, in charge. Burial was made in the cemetery adjoining the church.

Surviving are the father and mother, four brothers and one sister. The brothers are Manly, Peter, Edwin and Lee. Genevieve is the sister. All of the children are at home.
