Donna J. Nederhoff, 82, passed away on Monday October 7, 2013 at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo. Funeral Services will be 11 AM on Friday October 11, 2013 at Nazareth Lutheran Church (Chapel) in Cedar Falls. Visitation will be from 9-11 AM at the church on Friday as well. A memorial fund has been established.

Donna J. Nederhoff was born on March 12, 1931 on the family farm near Owasa, Iowa. She was the daughter of John O. and Anna (Janssen) Fritzel. Donna graduated from Owasa High School in 1949 and continued her education at AIB College. On July 2, 1950 she was united in marriage to George Nederhoff, Sr. at the Open Bible Church in Iowa Falls, Iowa. They lived south of Wellsburg, Iowa for thirty-eight years, where they raised beef cattle, hogs, chickens and ducks, milked cows and farmed. Then they moved to Maxwell, Iowa and lived there for twenty-three years during which Donna had a home cleaning business for twelve years. George passed away on February 12, 2002. Donna remained in Maxell until the fall of 2011, when she moved to New Aldaya Lifescapes in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Donna had two wonderful companions there, Trixie her first dog and late Muffin. Donna enjoyed crafts, ceramic and porcelain pieces, flowers, gardening and so many conversations with her friends. Her greatest joy was sharing her love with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Donna is survived by her son, George and his wife, Dixie, Nederhoff of Sumner, Iowa; her grandchildren Elizabeth (Marty) Pagel, John (Brenda) Nederhoff, Sarah (Heath) Buhman, Anthony (Jeannie) Smith, Victoria (Jeff) Rhea, Courtney (Ashley) Smith and Ashlyn (Brody) Laabs; and seventeen great-grandchildren; a brother, Dan (Dale) Fritzel, sister-in-law, Lorraine Fritzel and brothers-in-law, Henry Nederhoff, Paul Van Soelen and Marvin (Verone) Nederhoff. She was preceded in death by her husband George, her parents John and Anna, brother Duane Fritzel, brother-in-law Arthur Nederhoff, sister-in-law Beverly Nederhoff, sister-in-law Pearl Van Soelen, and her sister-in-law Lorraine Nederhoff.
