Rites Held For Carrie Nederhoff
Carrie Murra Nederhoff, 81, of Wellsburg, passed away Sunday, December 9, in Allen Hospital in Waterloo.
Services were held at the Second Christian Reformed Church of Wellsburg, on Wednesday, December 12, at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. H. Charles Kooger officiated the services.
Casket bearers were Dan Lenox, Myron Kuper, Clarence Murra, Dean Nederhoff, Marvin Nederhoff, and Henry Nederhoff.
Burial took place in Shiloh Cemetery in Wellsburg.
Carrie Nederhoff, daughter of Andrew and Afke Jaspers Murra, was born on May 21, 1909, on a farm west of Wellsburg. She attended Wellsburg schools while growing up.
She was united in marriage to Carl J. Nederhoff on January 14, 1932, at the First Christian Reformed Church parsonage in Wellsburg.
Mrs. Nederhoff was a long time member of the Willing Worker's Society, and of the Second Christian Reformed Church of Wellsburg.
Carrie was preceded in death by three brothers; Abe, George and Alle; five sisters, Mrs. Helen Ohling, Mrs. Fannie Ruter, Mrs. Mae Kuper, Mrs. Kay Haupt, and one infant sister.
She is survived by her husband, Carl; one son, Roger of Wellsburg; one daughter, Mrs. Patricia Neessen of Wellsburg; and five grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established.
The Doyen-Abels Funeral Home in Wellsburg was in charge of the arrangements.
