Henrietta Kruse, 92, of Wellsburg, died June 28 at the Ackley Presbyterian Village. Funeral services were July 2 at the United Reformed Church in Wellsburg. Burial followed in the Shiloh Cemetery in Wellsburg. A memorial fund has been established.

Henrietta was born May 21, 1910, near Wellsburg, the daughter of Henry and Martha (Deters) Schafer. She attended Wellsburg Schools. She was united in marriage to John Kruse on February 17, 1932. The couple farmed north of Wellsburg until retiring in 1949.

Henrietta was an active member of the Second Christian Reformed Church of Wellsburg. She was a former member of the Helping Hands Society and an active choir member. She loved to sing and play the piano.

Henrietta was preceded in death by her husband, John in March of 1990; her parents; a son, Larry Jon in 2000; her brother, Thomas Schafer; and four sisters, Bertha Meints, Tina Schafer, Jennie Beninga and Alena Riekena.

Survivors include her son, David and his wife Shirley of Pickerington, OH; her daughter-in-law, Sandra Kruse of Albuquerque, NM; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
