Death Of Harmonius Janssen

Funeral Services Wednesday; Survived By Wife and Family

The death of Harmonius Janssen, occurred at the family home southwest of Ackley, in the Robertson neighborhood, Tuesday. Funeral services were held at the Robertson church, Wednesday afternoon; the remains being interred in the cemetery adjoining East Friesland German Presbyterian church, the service there conducted by Rev. F. H. Engelke.

Deceased was 49 years of age; born in Germany, he came to this section twenty odd years ago; his first wife died eleven years ago; his second marriage two years ago, to Mrs. H. Strahorn, who survives, with eight children by the first marriage. Death was due to typhoid fever, although two weeks previous to his death he had had his tonsils removed. The funeral services Wednesday afternoon were largely attended. His mother and one brother are still living in Germany.
