Services for Ben P. Heronimus were held at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church May 17, 1972, at 1:30 p.m. The Reverend E. H. Buschman officiated.

Russell Kruse sang "Safe In the Arms Of Jesus" and "How Great Thou Art." He was accompanied by Mrs. Hiram Dieken, who also played selected numbers for the prelude and postlude.

The casket bearers were Derrell Heronimus, Gary Heronimus, George Heronimus, Alvin Meyer, Thomas D. Dreesman and Glen Dreesman.

Mrs. LeRoy Ennenga and Mrs. John Venenga were in charge of the floral arrangements. Harm G. Hook and Milf Meyer served as ushers.

Interment was in the Colfax Center Cemetery, rural Holland, Iowa.

Relatives and friends were invited to return to the church dining room after the committal service.

Ben P. Heronimus, 92, Holland, died early Sunday, May 14, in Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center, where he was a patient for one day. He had heart surgery earlier this spring.

Mr. Heronimus was born Oct. 17, 1879, in Colfax Township in Grundy County. He was a son of Poppe and Hadie Oltman Heronimus. On Sept. 27, 1910, he married Gertie Dreesman in Holland. They farmed in Colfax Township until 1924, when they moved to Holland and operated a hardware store until 1948, when he retired.

He was a member of the Colfax church since 1919.

Survivors are his widow; a son, Benjamin, Grundy Center; a sister, Mrs. Kate Wicks, Newport Richey, Fla.; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded by four brothers, and two sisters.
