Irvin L. Dieken, 78, of Holland, passed away Tuesday, March 30, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 2 at 1 p.m. at the Colfax Center Presbyterian Church with burial in the church cemetery.

Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Thursday at Richardson Funeral Home with family present from 5-7 p.m.

Irvin was born October 25, 1920 in Lincoln Township the son of Jurgen H. and Wilhemina (Groote) Dieken. He married Matilda E. Poppen on February 18, 1945 in Holland.

He was a retired farmer. He also worked at John Deere and for the City of Holland.

He is survived by his wife, Matilda of Holland; one daughter, Dr. Paulette Dieken of East Lansing, MI; and two brothers, LaVerne H. of Fort Collins, CO and Glenn R. of Grundy Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Ella Graham and Anna Griffiths; and two brothers, Hiram and Elmer.
