Harry Heltibridle Services Held

Harry L. Heltibridle passed away Monday, July 23, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital. He attained the age of 91 years.

Funeral services were held on Thursday, July 26, at 1:30 p.m. at the Alice Church of God, Conrad. Rev. Roy Royster officiated.

Mr. and Mrs. John Frerichs Jr. were the vocalists. They were accompanied by Dan Gast.

Pallbearers were Donovan Heltibridle, Darwin Heltibridle, Lauren McCall, David McCall, Eugene Callaway and Robert Callaway.

Mrs. James Boston, Mrs. Rick Moeller and Mrs. Larry Hansen were in charge of the floral arrangements.

Interment was in the Alice Church of God Cemetery.

Mr. Heltibridle was born in Cedar County, on September 17, 1892, the son of Rev. E. E. Heltibridle and Luella Kinnan Heltibridle.

He was united in marriage to Lela Baasch on September 16, 1914. They lived on a Grundy county farm until retiring to Steamboat Rock in 1950.

He was a member of the Alice Church of God at Conrad.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lela and brother, Alva.

He is survived by two sons, Dwight Heltibridle and Lyle Heltibridle, both of Grundy Center; three daughters, Mrs. Howard (Thelma) McCall of Eldora, Mrs. Glen (Lola) Callaway of Steamboat Rock and Mrs. Edward (Irene) Naumann of Eldora; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Addison (Mary) Alspach of Duluth, MN.

The Andrle & Creps Funeral Home, Eldora, was in charge of the arrangements.
