Mrs. Arend's Sudden Death

Mrs. Casper Arends, living east of town near Austinville, died very suddenly Thursday afternoon. There was no illness connected with her death, and up to within a few short hours of the sudden summons, she was in the enjoyment of perfect health.

Her's is indeed a sad ending. A child but four days of age which had brought with it the sunshine of love's first born, lives but to mourn, as time wings its flight, the warm love of a mother it knows not. There is a sadness for the young husband, in her taking off, that knows little oppressing. The funeral was held from the Bode church Monday; the remains being followed to the grave by a large concourse of friends whose sympathies are extended to the bereaved.
