Miss Henrietta, Daughter Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Abbas

Died at Home of Parents in the Early Morning of Tuesday.

Miss Henrietta, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. B. A. Abbas, residing four miles east of Ackley, died at the home of her parents in the early morning of Tuesday, the result of peritonitis, after a comparatively brief illness.

She was born April 29, 1911, and attained the age of twenty years, eight months and twenty days. She spent her childhood and grew to womanhood at the family home east of Ackley, attended country school and also Ackley high school, from which she graduated and later took the normal course at Iowa Falls. At the time that she was stricken she was engaged in teaching school near the family home. She was baptised in the Christian Reformed church; funeral services are to be held Friday afternoon, to be conducted by Rev. Folkema, pastor there. She was amiable, had many young friends, and all mourn her death.

She is survived by her parents, two brothers, Cornelius and Arend, and two sisters, Tena and Minnie; her grandparents and others.

Abbas Rites to Be at Church Near Ackley

Ackley, Ia.--Funeral services for Miss Henrietta Abbas, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben A. Abbas, living five miles southeast of Ackley, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Holland Reform church, four miles east of Ackley by Rev. A. F. Folkema. Interment will be in Holland Reform cemetery beside the body of her sister, Remda, who died four years ago.

Henrietta Abbas was born April 29, 1911, and spent her girlhood on the farm where she was born. She attended the rural grade school and Ackley high school graduating with the class of 1923. She attended Ellsworth Normal course thru the summer and began teaching in rural district No. 9, German township school last September.

Surviving are her parents, two sisters, Tena and Minnie, two brothers, Cornell and Harm, and her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Frerichs of Aplington.
