An Old Resident Dead

Arend Abbas, an old resident of Grundy and Butler counties, died at his home, several miles east of town, Wednesday last; the cause of death being long trouble. Besides his wife he leaves six children, grown to man's estate. He came to this section from East Friesland, Germany, thirty odd years ago.

Funeral services were held at the Dutch Reformed church, Thursday afternoon; the services were conducted by Rev. Pletcher, the Parkersburg church. His age was 66 years.

The death of Arend Abbas occurred at his home, two miles south of Austinville, Tuesday last. Funeral services were held Thursday at the Christian Reformed church, conducted by Rev. Pletcher, of Parkersburg. His age was sixty-five years.
