Mrs. Anna Wilhelm Dead; Resided Here All Life

Mrs. Anna E. Wilhelm was born to Obediah and Sarah Crouse Feb. 28, 1871, in Grundy county, Iowa, near Conrad, and throughout her life she was a resident of this community.

On February 5, 1902, she was united in marriage to Curtis Wilhelm. Although she had been in poor health for many months, she had been active in her home until suddenly stricken on the morning of December 14, and passed away a few hours later.

Mrs. Wilhelm was a member of the Conrad Methodist church for many years and was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She had always been active in community enterprises and had won a host of warm friends in this community.

She is survived by her husband, by four brothers, Frank, George, Calvin and Charles Crouse, all of Conrad, and by one sister, Mrs. Mary A. Tritsche, of Los Angeles. One brother, Harvey, preceded her in death. Besides these she leaves bereaved many other relatives and friends won in many years of cheerful, helpful living.

The pallbearers were Ralph Bowers, Robert Furland, Horace Daggett, Raymond Daggett, Orville Kell and Wendell St. Clair.

The flower girls were Mesdames Ralph Bowers, Nannie Daggett, Orville Kell and Miss Minnie Daggett.

Interment was made in the Conrad cemetery.

Relatives and friends from out-of-town included Mr. and Mrs. Josh Quissenberry and daughter, Topeka, Kan.; Mrs. Anna Bridges and daughter, Montour; Mrs. Elmer Wilhelm, Margaret and Max Russell, Clarion; Ruth Crouse, Spencer; Mrs. Lillie Lord, Mr. and Mrs. Obie Modlin, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Modlin, Mr. and Mrs. Chester Modlin, Iowa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Howard Modlin, Kenneth Modlin, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Modlin of Eldora; Mr. and Mrs. Ray Crouse, Hudson; Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Wilhelm, Mrs. George Frost, Mrs. Georgia Crouse, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Wilhelm, Harry Wilhelm and daughter Virginia, Mr. and Mrs. John Stevens, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Diehl, Mrs. Alva Heltibridle, all of Grundy Center.
