Roland Siefken, age 66, of Versailles, Missouri, passed away Monday evening, October 4, 1999 at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City. He was born August 24, 1933 in Wellsburg, Iowa, the son of August and Gertie Harms Siefken.

On March 30, 1954 he was united in marriage with Ardythe Lindaman.

Roland was a retired welder for G.M.T. Corporation in Waverly, Iowa. He was a United States Army veteran, and member of the American Legion and AmVets.

He is survived by his wife, Ardythe Siefken of the home; five daughters, Josie Siefken of Ames, Iowa, Cristie Sanford of Garnavillo, Iowa, Ginnie Steele of Dexter, Iowa, Barbie Hoins of Carleton, Nebraska, and Leslie Thrasher of Perrysburg, Ohio; a daughter-in-law, Lydia Siefken of Manley, Iowa; two brothers, Edwin Siefken of Blairstown, Iowa, and Donald Siefken of Wellsburg, Iowa; one sister, Marian Koch of Wellsburg, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott H. Siefken on October 5, 1994 of Gulf War Illness.
