Jean Ann Sunken Manley, 35, of Marshalltown, Iowa, and formerly of Waterloo and Iowa Falls, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009, at the Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center. Funeral services for Jean Ann Sunken Manley will be 11:00 am Wednesday at the Bethel Baptist Church, Iowa Falls, Iowa, with Pastor Steve Hill officiating. A time of visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Tuesday at the Linn's Funeral Home, 1521 Washington Avenue, Iowa Falls, Iowa. Burial will be at the Reformed Church Cemetery, Stout, Iowa. The Linn's Funeral Homes Iowa Falls Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.

Jean Ann Sunken was born May 28, 1973, at Ellsworth Hospital, Iowa Falls, the daughter of Roy Eugene and Elaine Florence (Bruns) Sunken. She attended the Iowa Falls Community Schools graduating with the class of 1991. She then attended the Ellsworth Community College becoming a Certified Nurses Aide.

On June 25, 1994 Jean Ann was united in marriage to James Dale Manley, Jr. at Iowa Falls, Iowa. To this union one son was born: Michael James. She had been employed as a CNA in Iowa Falls, Waterloo, and Marshalltown, Iowa.

Jean Ann Manley is survived by her husband, James Manley of Marshalltown, Iowa; her son, Michael Manley of Marshalltown, Iowa; her parents, Roy and Elaine Sunken of Iowa Falls, Iowa; her two brothers, Craig (Phyllis) Sunken of Park Ridge, Illinois, William 'Bill' (Jolene) Sunken of Iowa Falls, Iowa; her father-in-law and step mother, Janice and James D. Manley, Sr. of Waterloo, Iowa; a sister-in-law, Heather (Dwayne) Gregory of Ft. Worth, Texas; a brother-in-law, John (Jennifer) Manley of Waterloo, Iowa; and eight nieces and nephews, Julianna and Paul Sunken of Park Ridge, Illinois, Amanda and Thomas Sunken of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Zachary and Jacob Gregory of Ft. Worth, Texas, and Andrew and Sophia Manley of Waterloo, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, William and Pearl Sunken and John and Grace Bruns; and her mother-in-law, Mary Manley.
