Frank Klar Is Called to Rest

The community is deeply saddened by the passing of one of its most beloved citizens, Frank Klar, who died at his home Tuesday evening, following a short illness.

Mr. Klar was born in Bohemia May 25, 1872, and died at his home in Conrad at the age of 77 years. On March 21, 1900, he married Pauline Werner at Grundy Center. To this union were born 6 daughters. Surviving besides the widow are the 6 daughters: Mrs. Herman Jordan of Rialto, Calif., Miss Edith Klar of Covina, Calif., Mrs. Joe Kopsa of Marshalltown, Mrs. Anfin Anderson of Liscomb, Mrs. George Hurlbutt and Mrs. George Markwitz of Conrad; 11 grandchildren; a brother Henry of Green Mountain, and a sister Mrs. Frank Katzer, Sr. also of Conrad.

Mr. Klar farmed just north of Conrad for a good many years. He was a good neighbor, and a friend to all. Mr. Klar had the characteristics which make for a good community. He was always willing to help his fellowmen, and always was cheerful in spite of the fact that his health was not the best. He will be sorely missed.

The body is at the Johnston Funeral Home in Conrad.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Johnston Funeral Home in charge of Rev. W. G. Warren. Burial will be in Oakland cemetery at Beaman.
