Mrs. F. Naumann Died at Hospital Sunday Morning
Funeral services for Mrs. Frank E. Naumann who died Sunday after a short illness of meningitis, were held at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at the Conrad Presbyterian church with Rev. James Wray, pastor of the church in charge. Mesdames, George R. Gould and Ben Frederick sang with Mrs. Frank Dostal at the piano. Pall bearers were Lloyd Wehrman, Alva Cooper, Burdette Rolston, Albert Schafer, Fred A. Bauerle and Dan Chadwick. The flower bearers were Mesdames Lloyd Wherman, John Dodd, Elzy Smith and Bert Stewart. Burial was in the Conrad cemetery.
Ethel White, daughter of Owen and Margaret White was born July 18th, 1889 near Bromley, Marshall county, Iowa and died at the Deaconess hospital in Marshalltown Sunday morning, April 30 after a short illness.
She was married to Frank E. Naumann October 7th, 1909. To this union was born four children, three daughters, and one son.
Mrs. Naumann was an active member of the Presbyterian church and the Ladies Aid society, where she has labored so faithfully and conscientiously. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her husband; three daughters, Lillian, Mrs. William Hanisch of Morrison; Jeanette, Mrs. Floyd Beach of Conrad; and Ruth at home, and one son, Frank, Jr. also at home; two grandchildren, Ralph and Dorine Beach and five sisters, Mable, Mrs. Carl Erickson of Pullman, Wash.; Mrs. Nellie Nichols of Mt. Vernon, Wash.; Miss Edna White of Seattle, Wash.; Katherine, Mrs. Lawrence Kline of Conrad and Miss Maxine White also of Seattle.
Mrs. Naumann was a true and faithful friend, a kind wife and a loving mother. In her passing deep sympathy goes out to her loved ones who mourn her loss.
Relatives from away who attended the funeral included Mrs. Nellie Nichols of Mt. Vernon, Wash., Miss Edna White of Seattle, Wash., Mr. and Mrs. Malon White of Minneapolis, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wilson of Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Wellington White of Whitten; Mr. and Mrs. Elwood White of New Providence; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Thornton of State Center; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur White of Gowrie; Mrs. Morris McKee of St. Joseph, Missouri and Mr. and Mrs. Norval Rockhill and Mr. and Mrs. I. F. Finkle of Marshalltown. There was also a number of friends from Marshalltown and Grundy Center.
