William Krumradt Dies Friday After Long Illness
Wm. Krumradt passed away Friday, Aug. 1, 1947, at the age of 79 years, 4 months and 26 days, after a long illness.
He was born in the province of Hanover, Germany, March 6, 1868, the son of Fred Krumradt and Lena Saalja Krumradt. He came to the United States at the age of 21 and settled at Conrad where he lived until his death.
He operated a harness shop, later a general store, and worked for many years in stores in Conrad.
He was a faithful member of the Conrad Presbyterian church for 46 years. For more than 30 years, he served as usher in the church. He was a member of Roman lodge No. 564 of Conrad.
On Aug. 15, 1901 he was united in marriage to Elizabeth Pageler.
He is survived by his widow and by a number of cousins. During his long life in Conrad he made many friends and acquaintances. His upright character and unassuming friendliness endeared him to all who knew him.
Funeral services were held at the Conrad Presbyterian church Monday at 2 p.m., in charge of Rev. George Biersborn. Music was sung by Russell Kruse, accompanied by Mrs. C. S. Green.
Interment was in the Chapel cemetery in charge of Roman Lodge No. 564 of Conrad.
Pallbearers were Dilman Daggett, Horace Daggett, Charles Reece, Elmer Thorman, Francis Alexander and Harry Poe. Flower bearers were Ada Conrad, Ethel Kell, Adah Bauerle and Grace Wilhelm.
