Rites Are Held For Ann Dorsey

Mrs. Ann Dorsey, 85, of 209 W. Fifth Street of Waterloo, died Friday, November 8, at Allen Memorial Hospital of complications following surgery.

She was born August 9, 1906, in Grundy County, the daughter of Carl and Ella Cordes Nederhoff. She married Merlin Dorsey on January 3, 1953, in Waterloo. He preceded her in death on February 2, 1973.

She taught school in Grundy County and was employed by Hinson Manufacturing Co. in Waterloo, retiring in 1968.

Survivors include two sisters, Jennie, Mrs. Harry Meyer of Holland, and Mrs. Tena Zeisman of Eldora. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Albert Nederhoff and Henry Nederhoff, and two sisters, Tillie Sheaffer and Effie Diekman.

Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon in the Chapel at Waterloo Memorial Park Cemetery.
