Etta Dekker, 92

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Dec. 28 at 2 p.m. in the Immanuel Memorial U.C.C. Church in Alden for Etta Dekker, 92, of Alden who died Saturday at the Valley View Nursing Center in Eldora.

The Rev. Dick Fylling will officiate with interment in the Alden Cemetery. Visitation was scheduled for 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Surls Funeral Home in Alden and one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.

Etta Dekker was born Setp. 19, 1901 in Wellsburg, daughter of George and Etta Penning Getting. She attended country school in Grundy county and was united in marriage to Henry Dekker on Jan. 23, 1929 at Wellsburg. She was a housewife and custodian at the Immanuel Memorial U.C.C. for 30 years. She was a member of the Immanuel Memorial U.C.C.

Surviving is a sister-in-law, Melda Getting of Grundy Center and four nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and three brothers.
