Mrs. Dick E. Beving Passes Away At Fostoria Home

Mrs. Dick E. Beving, nee Tena Heikens, was born in Grundy county, on August 26th, 1868, and passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 1940, being nearly 72 years of age at the time of her death. Funeral services were conducted on Saturday, May 25th, at the Cromwell Reformed church, with the Rev. T. C. Schoon and the Rev. J. M. DeVries, of Sibley, officiating.

Mrs. Beving was born and grew to womanhood in Grundy county and in 1889 became the wife of Dick E. Beving. In 1895 they moved to a farm near Fostoria, and since that time have made their home there. She had been in failing health for some time, but the illness was not of serious nature, and her death came as a severe shock to her relatives and friends.

She leaves to mourn her departure her husband of so many years, one daughter, Annie; four sons, Ubbe, George, John and Harry, all of near Fostoria; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters and five brothers, five sisters having preceded her in death.

Relatives who attended the funeral from Wellsburg were Mrs. John Snittjer, Wiard, Trieno and Miss Annie Riekena, Mr. and Mrs. D. J. Beving, Luella and Raymond and Mrs. J. T. Flessner.
