Services Held at Hampton Church For Lammert Meyer

Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon, July 17, for Lammert Meyer, at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton with the Rev. A. F. Lindner of Des Moines officiating. Burial was in the Hampton Cemetery. Mr. Meyer died Sunday morning at the Franklin General hospital in Hampton.

Mr. Meyer was born July 13, 1895 in Grundy County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milf Meyer. He was married to Henrietta Thies on February 9, 1919 in Grant Center. They farmed for 47 years in Franklin County before retiring and moving to Ackley.

He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Richard Lauterbach of Alden; six sons, Raymond of Chicago, Victor of Milwaukee, Wis., Lambert of Garner, Arthur and Glen of Ackley and Harold of Waterloo; four brothers, Milf of Holland, Harm of Round Lake, Minn., Tom of Corwith and Amos of Harris; three sisters, Mrs. Bert Venenga and Mrs. George Abbas of Hampton and Mrs. Harvey Boelman of Tucson, Ariz., and 18 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife in 1955.
