Mrs. Sebe Mennen died at her home near Kesley last Thursday. She had partly recovered from an attack of the flu and childbirth when she contracted double pneumonia, which was the cause of her death. The baby is ten days old and it is doing well. Funeral services were held at Aplington Monday. Mrs. Mennen was a daughter of Rudolph Hook of Pleasant Valley township. The family home was a mile west of Buck Grove. Mrs. Mennen lived on the home farm until a year ago when she and her family moved to a farm near Kesley. Mrs. Mennen was 36 years old. She was born in this county and resided here during all of her lifetime excepting the past year. She is survived by her husband and five children.
