Mrs. Andrew Eberline, at one time some years ago a resident of Pleasant Valley township, died at her home in Luverne, Minn., last Sunday morning, and her remains were brought to her old home to be laid to rest beside her husband, who died in 1887. Mrs. Eberline was an aunt of Mayor W. F. Benz.

Mrs. Andrew Eberline, nee Bowers, was born in Germany in 1840. She came to America at age of 16. In the year of 1859 she was married to Andrew Eberline and made her home in Aurora, Illinois. In the year 1883 they moved into this neighborhood and seventeen years later moved to Rock Co., Minn. It was while they were living here that the husband and father passed away.
To this union 12 children were born, five of whom preceded her in death. Those living are Carrie of Los Angeles, California, Emma of Rochester, Minn., Edward and Henry of Luverne, Minn., Jack of Highmore, South Dakota, Clara of Canton, O., Jesse of Altaront, South Dakota. She also left 30 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
On Feb. 16, 1924, she passed away at the home of her son Edward. She was a member of the Evangelical church, a kind and loving mother. Funeral services were held at the home of the deceased's niece, Mrs. L. L. Bausman, later at the Evangelical church. Rev. F. M. Raecker officiated.

Tuesday night the body of Mrs. Barbara M. Eberline was received at the Wellsburg Rock Island station, coming form Luverne, Minn. She was 82 years, 9 months and 24 days old at the time of her death. Mrs. Eberline was at one time a resident of this section, but left here with her twelve children after the death of her husband, many years ago.--Herald.
