Reinhard Spieker Died Monday, November 12.

Reinhard Spieker, a lifetime resident of German township, died Monday afternoon Nov. 12th at the home of his brother, Jerry Spieker. He had been in failing health for some time. Reinhard Spieker was born June 6th, 1881, and was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jurgen Spieker, who were among the earliest residents of German township. He attained the age of 64 years, 5 months and 6 days.

Surviving are three sisters and one brother: Jerry Spieker and Mrs. Menno Kuper, Ackley; Mrs. Hiska DeVries, Aplington; Mrs. Tom Frerichs, Gladbrook; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held the following Thursday afternoon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Spieker, and later at St. Peter's Church in German township, with Rev. Frank C. Kroll, officiating.

Burial by the side of his parents in the cemetery adjoining the church.
