Alice Viola Everts, age 86, of Grundy Center, Iowa, died Monday, November 5, 2007, at Maple Manor Nursing Home, Aplington, Iowa. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 9 at Bethany Presbyterian Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery, both in Grundy Center, Iowa. Engelkes-Abels Funeral Home, Grundy Center is in charge of the arrangements.

Alice was born September 8, 1921 in Grundy Center, Iowa, daughter of John and Anna (Schipper) Everts. She was educated in the Grundy Center area and worked for many families cleaning homes. Alice was also very devoted to taking care of her mother for many years. She was a member of the Bethany Presbyterian Church in Grundy Center.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers, George Everts, Fred Everts, and Johnny Everts, Jr. and a sister, Anna Mae Oltman.

She is survived by 3 sisters-in-law, Margaret Everts of New Hartford, Iowa, Marion Everts of Wellsburg, Iowa, and Delores (Bob) Shivley of Marshalltown, Iowa.
