Fritz Ennen, a restaurant keeper of Wellsburg, committed suicide at his home Friday night. He took rough on rats. It is reported that he attended the funeral of an old neighbor and after returning home he had trouble with some members of his family and while in a despondent mood he committed the act which sent him into eternity.

Last Friday evening F. H. Ennen, was working about the house and apparently in the best of health. He became suddenly ill, and it was supposed that he had taken some poison into his stomach but it was not known whether he did it intentionally or otherwise. He was given a quantity of milk and his family and close friends supposed that he was all right, as he had had quite a vomiting spell and all thought the poison was thrown out. At 10 o'clock he went to bed and a few hours afterwards Joseph Doyen and John Schafer were called to Mr. Ennen's home where they arrived about 1 o'clock and found Mr. Ennen past help. Mr. Ennen was about 45 years of age and leaves a wife and three children to mourn his sad departure. The funeral occurred from the Lutheran church Tuesday at 1 o'clock. Rev. Saalborn conducted the impressive services.
