Mr. Z. B. Pepperman was born May 4, 1825, and died at his home in Grundy Center, Iowa, Feb. 4, 1897, aged 71 years, 9 months.

Mr. Pepperman was born in Lycoming county, Pa. In March, 1825 [sic], he was married to Rebeca Baker, and their union was blessed with six children, five of whom are now living. Mr. Pepperman moved to Wisconsin in 1867, and came to Grundy Center in 1868, where he lived until his death which was caused by asthma. He was received into the Methodist church last October and left a very clear confession of his conversion. A large number of friends attended his funeral services which were conducted by Rev. McKim at the M. E. church last Sunday afternoon.
