Margaret Klasina Eygabroad, of Wellsburg, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2000, at the Grundy County Memorial Hospital Long Term Care Unit of natural causes. She attained the age of 102 years, four months and eight days.

Funeral services were held on Monday, April 3, at the Christ Covenant Church in Wellsburg with Rev. Bruce Zimmerman officiating.

Margaret was born November 22, 1897, in Wymeer, Germany the daughter of Anneus and Antje "VanDeest" Koch. On February 19, 1917, she married Earl Herbert Eygabroad in Grundy Center. Earl passed away January 2, 1956.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; two sons, Anneus and Earl Jr.; and a daughter Lillie Weichers; her parents; two grandsons, Patrick and Stephen Eygabroad; two great-granddaughters, Denise and Leisha Aukes; four sisters; and two brothers.

Margaret is survived by two brothers, Anneus Koch of Minnesota and Hank Koch of Eldora; a sister, Henrietta Wiseman of Marshalltown; 13 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 43 great-great-grandchildren.

Doyen-Abels Funeral Home is Wellsburg was in charge of the arrangements.
