A man by the name of Olthoff, living in the northwest part of the county, took a bottle of alcohol home with him from Wellsburg one day last week. His eight year old son found the bottle and devoured the contents. The mother, noticing the condition of the child, put him to bed, and in the morning she found him in convulsions from which he died a few hours afterward. The death of the boy under such circumstances is sad indeed, and is a dear temperance lecture to the family.
