Mrs. Isaac Coffman Dies Tuesday At Advanced Age

Mrs. Isaac Coffman died shortly after noon Tuesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Joe McCoy, at Morrison. She was 87 years old. She was afflicted with ulcers of the stomach and had been in failing health for some time. She was confined to her bed only a few weeks. She resided at Morrison and vicinity during the greater part of her lifetime.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. McCoy and Mrs. E. H. Reimers from Cedar Rapids. Her husband died about 13 years ago.

Funeral services will be held at the Coffman funeral home in Grundy Center at 2:30 Thursday. Burial will be by the side of the husband in the Morrison cemetery. The pastor of the Morrison church will officiate at the service.

Mrs. Martha Coffman

Funeral services were held Thursday Aug. 6 at Coffman's funeral home in Grundy Center for Mrs. Martha Coffman, 87, who died at her home in Morrison Thursday, Aug. 4th.

Mrs. Coffman was born Dec. 2, 1864[sic] at Freeport, Ill., the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fossler and was married when she was 23 years old to Isaac Coffman. The couple came immediately to the Morrison vicinity and had resided there since.

Mr. Coffman died several years ago. Deceased leaves two daughters, Mrs. Bessie McCoy, Morrison, Mrs. Marietta Reimers, Cedar Rapids, a granddaughter, Mrs. Gleo Mooty and a great-granddaughter, Bonnie Lee Mooty, Chicago. Illinois.

The casket bearers were Albert Goble, Manne Bakker, Lester Kahl, Millard Freed, Roy Shafstal and Robert Morrison.

Those attending the funeral service from a distance were Mrs. Henry Fossler, Ackley; Frank Coffman, German Valley, Illinois; Mrs. Kirkpatrick, Mrs. Nickham, Mrs. Edna Weyrauch and John Fossler from Iowa Falls; Mr. and Mrs. John Newcomer and daughter Mrs. Philbrick from German Valley, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Philpot, Cedar Falls; Mrs. Dave Correll, Waterloo; Mr. and Mrs. Kline, Waterloo; E. H. Reimers, Cedar Rapids.
